During this 9-week course, we will learn how to understand and love our physical bodies through yoga.


Physical asanas combined with the psychology of yoga and the science of well-being will give you the healthy, sustainable tools you need to manage your weight.


You may have noticed that the title of this class is not "Yoga for Weight Loss." It is "Yoga for Weight Management." Whether you hope to gain or lose weight, the goal is to learn how to take care of your body, your mind, and your emotions for the rest of your life.


We will discuss many topics, including:

  • Eating habits

  • The mind

  • Learning to see your body as a temple of joy

  • Balancing our whole system (physical, mental, emotional)

  • How to keep a positive attitude no matter what

  • Understanding the benefits of yoga postures and yogic philosophy

  • Most common bad habits and how to fix them

  • Nonattachment

  • How can managing stress help us lose weight?

  • Asanas, breathing, and relaxation/yoga nidra
